Hello, and welcome, my name is Rayburn Taylor and I want to thank you for stopping
by to learn more about me and my business. I have been using the Internet for business
purposes since November 1996.
From January 1983 until June 2004 I taught computer
classes at a local community college in Waco, Texas;
teaching the first Internet and Web Design classes. Prior to that time, I worked 15+ years
with computers in industry. I have taken a number on
on-line classes on web design and how to create web
pages. I have successfully completed the
requirements for the Web Publisher Certification Program at Texas A&M University.
I have followed the growth and development of the
Internet since the early 1970's. I have used Telnet,
Gopher, Veronica and Jughead. The first Internet browser
I used was all text, no color, graphics or sound. The
first "micro" computer I used was a Radio Shack
TRS-80
and my first "home" computer was a
TI-99/4A with 32K
bytes of ROM (memory) and a cassette
player/recorder for storage. My first modem transmitted at a 1200 pits
per second and by 1980 modems could transmit up to 14.4
kilobits per second.
I have been married since 1961 to my wife, Carolyn, and
we have three daughters, three sons-in-laws and six
grandchildren
[five girls and one boy; ages 1 to 10].
My main interests are spending time with my wife,
playing with my grandchildren, playing golf and when
time permits designing and creating websites.
